Restaurant News: Get to Gitane
Exotic Gitane (French for "gypsy") has opened near sister restaurant Café Claude in the Financial District. This decadent little restaurant features elaborate, seductive décor and a menu of predominantly French, Iberian and north African cuisine with dishes like Portuguese fish stew and bacon-wrapped prunes stuffed with goat cheese.

Events: Festive Fish Feast
Chef Hoss Zaré celebrates the holidays Italian style with a special Feast of the Seven Fishes on Dec. 21 at Zaré at Fly Trap. The epic seven-course meal will uphold the Italian tradition of using only fish and seafood in preparation for Christmas, and will feature local ingredients like Dungeness crab, as well as wines from Spain, Italy and the Middle East.
