Matthew Hamilton, formerly of Uovo, returns to the East Village with Belcourt, a spin on the French bistro both in décor and in the kitchen. The interior features windowed doors imported from France, while the menu boasts items like "Boudin Blanc Dogs" and oil-poached octopus with pickled carrots and olive crisps.

John McDonald, owner of Chinatown Brasserie and Lure Fishbar, brings his signature touch to the new Brasserie 44 in the Royalton hotel. McDonald has hooked Scott Ekstrom of Oceana to tend the kitchen and borrowed elements of Lure's nautical decorating scheme for the combination restaurant and lounge space.

Events: Choc Around the Clock
