& Notable: The Russian Resurrection
After
closing in 1995 and again in 2002, the landmark Russian
Tea Room has reopened sporting nineteen million
dollars worth of renovations, and filled with antique
samovars and other icons of early 20th century Russia.
Its owners hope it will also be filled with celebs eager
to spend $350 for an ounce of caviar.

Spiked Shakes and Blue Balls
Kids may enjoy burgers and milkshakes, but they
are definitely adult fare at the new BLT Burger.
The gourmet burgers are made from Kobe beef and lamb merguez,
while the shakes are spiked with bourbon, rum and liqueurs.
On the Lower East Side, Marshall Stack
is serving "blue balls"---grapes rolled in nuts
and blue cheese---and other gimmicky treats.
