winning journalist and cookbook author Lisa Messinger
has been writing the nationally syndicated Cook's
Books column for Copley News Service for seven years
(as well as many other syndicated food cover stories
regarding her on-site visits with the world's top
chefs; she is one of just five CNS columnists and
the only food writer who travels the world for them).
She has also penned four food books, including the
100,000-selling cookbook The
Tofu Book: The New American Cuisine (Avery/Penguin
Putnam) and has appeared on more than 75 television
and radio shows nationally, including CNN, Live
With Regis and two appearances on the Sally
Jessy Raphael Show. Among other distinctions,
she has won first place in food writing nationally
from the Association of Food Journalists, an organization
that includes almost all newspaper and magazine food
editors and writers in the country.
