Because this artisanal offering is the next best thing to making your own from an heirloom recipe. Because many American jams have too much sugar and not enough fruit per 100 grams (this one has 68 grams). And because Christine Ferber, the creator of this "confiture," has impressed the palates of big chefs like Alain Ducasse and Michel Troisgros with her traditional, simple and fresh jams, and they know a thing or two about food.

We enjoyed it on a rustic piece of bread with Irish Kerry butter as well as inside a crêpe.
