Ever
wondered what was on the opposite end of the spectrum from
Red Bull? Plain water might be the answer to that, but Red
Bull International has that base covered as well. Carpe
Diem Botanic Waters is this popular company’s new
addition to the beverage market, combining spring water
with plant extracts and a touch of sweetness without added
sugar, artificial flavorings or colors. These waters are
a slightly-carbonated go-between for consumers who want
the fizz of soda without the calories and the benefits of
water with a livelier taste.
Each
two-serving bottle contains around 70 calories, and three
flavors are currently available at specialty retailers:
Harmonizing is fruity and a bit tart, Vitalizing has a hint
of ginger, and the Relaxing flavor is herby and crisp. Soda
lovers shouldn’t expect any intense Red-Bullish kicks
in these bottles: Botanic Waters are very lightly flavored
and will be a refreshing change for over-stimulated taste
buds. The tasty beverages can currently be found on the
West Coast, and they will be available nationally starting
in May, 2007.
$1.69 - $1.99 per bottle. For more information, visit www.carpediem.com,
