| Women
of Taste — Recipes & Profiles of Famous Women Chefs
By
Beverly Russell
(John Wiley & Sons, 1997)
This
unusual tribute book to women chefs presents an abundance of glossy
photo portraits, mini-bios and interviews with 32 women of remarkable
culinary talent. Each chef gives a full menu of recipes; from
Diane Forley (of Verbena, New York) is a four-course Provencale
dinner, from Carrie Nahabedian (Four Seasons Hotel - LA), a Hollywood
Star Dinner. The structure is frustratingly difficult to follow,
but it's rich with good recipes, and pretty enough to present
as a special gift.
